SAP Visual Enterprise Author (в прошлом Deep Exploration) — мощный инструмент для просмотра и конвертации 2D, 3D, аудио и видео файлов.
Программа поддерживает более сорока популярных форматов и, в частности, позволяет преобразовывать файлы из одного 3D формата в другой, включая анимацию.
В программе можно посмотреть иерархию трехмерных сцен и материалы.
Открывает 2D и 3D CAD файлов текущих ведущих производителей в области САПР.
Имеются инструменты для оптимизации моделей, удаления из сцен скрытых объектов, объединения одинаковых материалов и удаления неиспользуемых и многое другое.
Кроме своих основных функций, программа позволяет проводить над открытыми файлами некоторые манипуляции: просматривать сборки, скрывать / показывать отдельные детали, создавать разрезы и сечения, виды и аннотации для инструкций и прочей документации.
Программа позволяет открывать и просматривать различные форматы данных, и сохранять их в промежуточные данные для CAD систем, а также в открытые форматы 2D растровой и векторной графики, 3D данных, а также видео, при помощи плагинов может конвертировать данные в такие 3D пакеты как 3d Max и Maya.
Вышла новая версия программы Visual Enterprise Author, ранее известной как Deep Exploration. Программа переименована в связи с тем, что ее разработчика Right Hemisphere приобрела компания SAP Company. Новая версия основана на коде Deep Exploration 6.5 и содержит исправления некоторых ошибок. Кроме этого, некоторые невостребованные возможности Deep Exploration в новой программе убраны. Их полный список можно увидеть здесь.
